An excerpt from FOOTSTEPS IN THE ATTIC, by Paul F. Eno From "The Haunter" Page 67 Jan told me that what happened next would be seared into her memory "until the day I die." The woman who answered the door was in her mid-thirties. She took one look at Pat, screamed and went stumbling back into the house. A slightly older man then appeared, gaped at Pat, but was unable to speak. In the meantime, Pat had recovered somewhat, apologized and started to explain her feeling that she knew the house. The woman "was still shaking like a leaf," Jan recalled, but the man, as pale as ever, finally found his voice. "I…I wouldn’t be surprised if you did know this house," he blurted. "It’s you! It’s haunted by you!" Copyright 2002 by Paul F. Eno. All rights reserved.
